Over the years it's been Elmcrest's honor to host organizations that have made Elmcrest their home. Although Elmcrest is a private club, we have always had an open door policy for the community, hosting numerous outings and raising millions of dollars for many organizations. These events have been very successful and our limited calendar dates quickly fill. Once reserved, these dates usually remain closed for many years. Events at Elmcrest include lunch, usually hot dogs & hamburgers, and dinner, usually steak or prime rib. When possible, alternate menus can be prepared. Elmcrest Professional Service for Outings
Upon arrival, outing guests will be greeted at the parking lot area by a Professional Staff member. They will be informed of the proper procedure of registration and starting area for the outing. A staff member will place the outing guests' golf bags and equipment on their golf cart and will answer any questions guests may have. Each cart will be marked with each guest's name and starting point on the course, holes #1 through #18 for shot gun starts. Scorecards will also be supplied with team names and starting points. Guests will be informed of the practice range area where the Professional Staff will supply range balls. The course will be prepared for the outing with "nearest the pin" and "long drive" signs on designated holes.
Five minutes prior to the tee time, outing guests will be instructed to seat themselves in their designated carts. One of Elmcrest's Professionals will make final announcements regarding the format of play and rules, and will answer any last minute questions. All guests will be informed of Elmcrest's rules and the outing will start on time.
If required, at the completion of the round the Professional Staff will proof the scorecards and post outing scores on the already prepared score sheets. Guests must bring their scorecards immediately to the scoreboard before going to the parking lot to unload their equipment after the match. At this time, the Golf Professional will settle any ties and submit the determined winners list.
Pro Shop gift certificates for the winners and a scoring summary for the outing will be submitted to the event's chairperson. If desired, the Golf Professional will announce the winners at dinner.
The Pro Shop will remain open until 7:30 p.m. for outing guests to redeem their certificates. These certificates may be redeemed at any time through the end of the year.
