About

Since 1964 , all of us at Elmcrest have dedicated our time and energy to our members, our community, education, and the game of golf. We have worked hard to provide a venue that emphasizes a family atmosphere. Our motto, "A family that plays golf together stays together," is what drives us in our decision-making. Over the years our membership has grown from the first generation of players to the second generation of players, their children, and now includes the third generation of players, their grandchildren. Nothing makes us happier than to see these families play golf and enjoy themselves, a common sight at Elmcrest.

Although we are a private club, Elmcrest has always had an open door policy for the community, hosting many charitable events, which over the years have raised well over a million dollars for charity. It's an honor to host organizations which have made Elmcrest their home, such as East Longmeadow's Endowment Fund, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, and Lions, as well as the Shriners Hospital, the Johnson Memorial Hospital, and most recently the Ronald McDonald House, to name a few.

In addition, Elmcrest is the site of the Western Mass Amateur, the Joe Pagos Ladies Four-Ball, the Mitch Kochanek Open, and the Wen Fitch - Francis Ouimet Open. All are notable tournaments promoting many facets of the golf community in Western Massachusetts.

Education has always been a priority to us. The Joe Pagos Scholarship Fund was established and still is funded by an annual October tournament. The success of this program has grown far beyond our wildest dreams. Scholarships have been awarded to local students with hopes that they will have opportunities we never had. Not only does this tournament support a worthy cause, but it also brings family, friends, and past members together.

The game of golf also and attracts many young boys and girls to Elmcrest. Over 1,500, 9-13 year-olds have attended Elmcrest's free golf clinics over the past 15 years. Weekly summer classes as well as a tournament with prizes, trophies, and a cookout on the final day have made these programs special and memorable for so many young eager players. Many of the participants in these clinics are seen just a few years later on area golf teams and quite a few have gone on to compete in college and become golf professionals. In addition, free of charge, Elmcrest has been the home to both East Longmeadow and Somers golf teams, hosting both matches and practice sessions.

Since 1964, Elmcrest has grown into one of the best venues in Western Massachusetts golf. The groundskeeping staff hold themselves to a consistent, thorough, and careful standard of course maintenance throughout the year. The course is challenging yet fun. Try us out!
